STEROID SCANDAL IN OLYMPIC RACE WALKING?

August 19, 2008

How pervasive is the use of illegal performance enhancing drugs at the Olympics?

Let’s put it this way, even the Olympic WALKERS cheat.

The website Steroid Nation has the story about a possible Beijing scandal surfacing in the sport of race walking. Apparently the Russians were forced to leave their entire team of walkers behind due to ALL OF THEM having positive doping tests.

Despite having tested poitive for the drug EPO just weeks before, one Russian flew to Beijing to compete in the Olympics. Valeriy Borchin “walked away” with a gold medal.

An English paper is calling Borchin’s gold medal “a mockery.”

BUSTED! ROGER CLEMENS RECEIVED HGH IN THE MAIL

July 16, 2008

PERJURER AND DEFILER OF 15-YEAR-OLD GIRLS “MR. CLEMENS” TESTIFIES BEFORE CONGRESS

Today’s New York Daily News has a story that blows pitcher Roger Clemens and the chance that he WASN’T lying to Congress pretty much out of the water.

Confessed steroid dealer Kirk Radowski has reportedly provided the government with proof that he shipped HGH to the house of the former MLB pitcher. While testifying before Congress, Clemens earlier this year denied UNDER OATH that he ever used performance enhancing drugs.

Radowski, who received probation after cooperating with MLB and the Feds, produced shipping invoices for two orders of HGH that he sent to Clemens’ house in Clemens’ name. Radowski’s records and testimony back up former trainer Brian McNamee and his contention that Clemens used illegal performance enhancing drugs.

DNA test results on used needles and other steroid items used by Clemens also will reportedly implicate the pitcher and subject him to possible charges of perjury and lying to Congress.

Radomski says he found the shipping invoice recently under a broken tv.

JOSE CANSECO IS A LOSER

July 13, 2008

JOSE CANSECO

Former Major League baseball slugger Jose Canseco’s celebrity boxing career has turned out like much of his life-a disappointing underachieving joke. Canseco was knocked out in the first round of his “celebrity” boxing match by 5’9″ former NFL kick returner Vai Sikahema.

According to The New York Daily News description of the fight the former bash brother nearly got “his head bashed in.” An Atlantic City, N.J.  crowd of 1,300 booed and taunted Canseco the entire fight.

E-MAILS TO McNAMEE REVEAL CLEMENS CAN’T SPELL THE WORD “DOUCHEBAG”

July 6, 2008

ROGER CLEMENS

The Smoking Gun has obtained copies of several e-mails exchanged between former pitcher Roger Clemens and his onetime-personal-trainer-turned-government-informer, Brian McNamee.

The e-mails don’t reveal much, other than Clemens is a really bad speller:

BRIEF CLAIMS STEROID SYRINGE TESTS POSITIVE FOR ROGER CLEMENS’ DNA

July 3, 2008

ROGER CLEMENS

The lawyers of Brian McNamee say steroid syringes and other items the personal trainer gave to the Feds will test positive for pitcher Roger Clemens’ DNA. The attorneys made the claim in a brief filed in court today.

The lawyers are trying to get Clemens’ defamation lawsuit against McNamee thrown out of court. They claim once the results of the DNA tests are revealed they will prove their client is innocent. Clemens gave federal investigators bloody syringes and gauze that he claims Roger Clemens used to shoot up with illegal steroids. Here’s an actual picture of the syringes and other items that was submitted to Congress:

There was one other interesting item in today’s brief. The attorneys claim McNamee is suffering extreme financial “distress” since he testified against Clemens. From January through June of 2008, McNamee, the one-time personal trainer to the stars, earned a reported TOTAL of $3,000 in income.

KICKING A HORSE WHILE HE’S DOWN: SEVERAL PAPERS BLAST BIG BROWN OVER STEROID USE

June 10, 2008

BIG BROWN TOOK THE STEROID WINSTROL

Several newspapers are out with stories blasting failed Triple Crown racehorse Big Brown.

The Toronto Star called Big Brown the “biggest flop of all.”  According to the paper, “No horse with the Kentucky Derby and Preakness in the bag ever crapped out as badly.” The Star accuses Big Brown of being a steroid burnout.

Meanwhile the New York Times also questioned whether Big Brown’s past success was simply the result of steroids:

Worst of all for Big Brown’s connections, perhaps, were the questions about steroids. (Trainer Rick) Dutrow told The New York Times last week that Big Brown had not had his usual shot of the anabolic steroid Winstrol since April 15, enough time for the drug to leave his system.

Was Big Brown’s poor performance because of his lack of “juice?”

ENOUGH ALREADY!

WITH ALL THOSE MISTRESSES HOW DID ROGER CLEMENS FIND TIME FOR A WIFE?

Yawn! Another day another story about Roger Clemens and his affairs.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m as interested in scandal and dirt as much as the next person. And if it wasn’t for the revelation of abhorrent behavior I wouldn’t even HAVE a blog. But, ENOUGH already with the stories about Roger Clemens’ penis.

The New York Daily News has another article today about Roger Clemens cheating on his wife. It’s the seventh day in a row that the newspaper has run a story on this topic. Today the Daily News interviewed the mother of one of Clemens’ mistresses. Nice touch.

I know it’s been seven days in a row of Clemensgate because the Daily News ran a graphic next to the Clemens story that said: Day 7. Enough. I cared the first three days. Maybe four. Now the paper is just piling on.

Worse, the Daily News is devoting so much of the paper’s resources to these silly issues. The problem is they hired an entire TEAM of investigative reporters to cover the steroids issue. The Daily News is not only paying these reporters handsomely they spent money promoting and marketing their new “I-team.” They even gave them their own logo:

What happened after spending all this money? The newspaper found their readers DON’T CARE about the steroids issue. No matter how many times you write about steroids or what stories you break on the topic, nobody cares. It literally doesn’t matter how salacious or scandalous the stories are about baseball players using steroids IT WON’T SELL NEWSPAPERS. Stories about Roger Clemens boning some 15-year-old or blonde fat chick MIGHT. Sex sells. That’s why we get Roger Clemens cheating on his wife: Day 7. Or day 15. Let’s certainly hope it doesn’t come to that.

If the Daily News really wants to sell a lot of newspapers they should not worry about Roger Clemens’ sexlife. They just need to go hire the headline writers from their cross city rival the New York Post.
