Tila Tequila (for those of you who don’t have MySpace or MTV) is a reality tv “star” and the unofficial queen of the social networking site MySpace.com. Tequila currently has 3,198,694 “friends” on her MySpace page. (I just checked.) She also hosts the reality tv show “A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila,” on MTV.
The premise of the show is basically the same as The Bachelor, except with a twist. Tequila is bi-sexual and contestants looking to date her are men AND women on the show.
In a recent interview with UsWeekly, Tila Tequila actually said that SHE is the reason for the ban being lifted on gay marriage in California.
In a story entitled “Gays Can Get Married because of Me,” Tequila told UsWeekly:
“It is because of me — I definitely think [my show] has helped the movement,” she told Usmagazine.com at the Hollywood premiere of The Love Guru on Wednesday.
“Before it came out, everyone was still a little apprehensive about [same sex relationships],” she said. “Then they realized, ‘Wow, everyone is really into this stuff, and it is fine.’ The next thing you know, [gay marriage] is legal.”
And, do you know what the best part of this story is?
It’s not that some delusional reality tv slut thinks she’s having an impact on the world. No, it’s that Tila Tequila ISN’T EVEN GAY!
Coincidentally, an article in today’s New York Post claims that the reality star is “gay for pay.” The Post says Tequila’s a “closet heterosexual” and is not even bi-sexual. The Post says she’s had a boyfriend for over a year and just pretends to sleep with women.
