For an entire week, Bill O’Reilly, of Fox News, has been pushing his own pet theory on the Governor Eliot Spitzer sex scandal.
According to The O’Reilly Factor host, Spitzer secretly WANTED to get caught. Why else would he engage in such risky behavior with hookers?
Subconsciously, O’Reilly theorizes, Spitzer wanted to end his own career.
Apparently, besides being the all-time record holder for winning Keith Olbermann’s “Worst Person in the World” award, O’Reilly also considers himself a bit of an amateur psychologist.
Now, I like Bill O’Reilly, but c’mon! I’m not buying it.
I have my own theory about Spitzer and the motives behind his behavior. It goes like this: Eliot Spitzer liked having sex with beautiful young women. Period.
I know that’s pretty out there and hard to follow but stick with me. Governor Eliot Spitzer was a rich and powerful man. He also has millions of dollars. He stands to inherit BILLIONS of dollars when his father dies. He’s also used to getting what he wants. He wants hot young women.
Since Spitzer is a bald, ugly, workaholic with a horrible personality he didn’t get many girls on his own. Therefore, he had to PAY FOR THEM.
Far from WANTING to get caught, Spitzer actually went through elaborate behavior to AVOID getting caught (using cash, meeting women in another city, etc.)
And, he actually got away with doing this for almost an entire decade.
I also find it laughable that people are saying exhibiting this type of behavior proves Spitzer is a sex addict. Addict? Nobody who’s “addicted” does something eight times in five years. Hell, I’ve had fish for dinner eight times in the last five years and I don’t even LIKE fish!
Now Wade Boggs, there was a sex addict!
Eliot Spitzer was just a rich guy indulging his appetite.
It’s like me having a cheeseburger.
I know it’s not good for me, but it makes me feel good.
And Spitzer spending $80,000 on hookers is the financial equivalent of me ordering off the dollar menu.
