Oakland A’s rookie pitcher Brad Ziegler set baseball’s all-time scorless innings record Sunday. No pitcher in Major League history has started his career with a longer scoreless streak. Some of the rookie’s gear is actually being sent to the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

Ziegler has not allowed an earned run in the first 27 innings of his big league career. The 28-year-old is unscored upon in 23 games. The record Ziegler broke for scorless innings at the start of a career had stood for 101 years.
