50-YEAR-OLD MAKES WNBA COMEBACK

NANCY LIEBERMAN

Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman has left her job as an announcer with ESPN to sign a seven-day contract with the WNBA’s Detroit Shock. Lieberman had already been the oldest player in WNBA history when she played for the Phoenix Mercury in 1997, the league’s inaugural season. Lieberman was 39 then. She’s 50-years-old now.

I tell him he can find me by looking for this entry. We were happy to be reunited with an announcer and begin the Phoenix Mercury to fly back to this entry. A response and Beaune are splendid.

  2. Julien Says:

Didn’t know that. You gotta give the girl a lot of credit for that!
