KOMO TV in Seattle ran a story last night about a local lesbian couple who were confronted by a security guard at a Mariners baseball game-for kissing.

Sirbrinna Guerrero, one of the women, says the couple exchanged “a peck on the lips” and were singled out by a security guard simply because they kissed each other. Guerrero says a mother sitting with her son complained to security and, as a result, they were told to STOP KISSING or leave the stadium.

Guerrero says she was called out because of her sexual orientation,

“The mom doesn’t want to explain to the kids why two girls are kissing. So I said ‘well, I’m not going to stop, so you’ll have to kick me out. So he said ‘so I suggest you leave then.”

Guerrero’s girlfriend denies the couple was guilty of an “inappropriate display of public affection” as the Mariners charge,

“We were eating garlic fries. The last thing we wanted to do was make out with each other.”

Safeco officials declined to comment on the issue.

This is the most retarded thing I have ever read. Seattle is for the most part a very great city for Lesbians/Gays. I have been out of the closet for 15+ years, and have kissed my girl many times at the ball park. I still have season tickets. Every damn gay man and lesbian should buy a cheap ticket to the next game in Seattle. It will be the best attendace they have had all year! And during the 7th inning stretch, we will turn it into a 7th inning make out fest! The Mariners can’t even fill the first 50 rows of seats…and now they are kicking out lesbians and gays? Sell the fucking team to someone else then. Let’s support the Storm instead.

You know what I say? That bloody mom was the real piece work. Too lazy to act the proper mother–that would have been a prime moment to teach her kid a little something about tolerance–so she whines to a security guard. I wonder how the children will turn out? It’s just ridiculous in this day and age (especially for Seattle!).

or simply make a no kissing or public affections rule for everyone while in the stadium…that would be a fair thing and without the childish tantrum of silly hostility suggestion in the previous post…
