TYSON GAY LOOKS STUNNED AFTER FAILING TO QUALIFY FOR THE MENS 100 METER FINALS
American sprinter Tyson Gay choked bigtime on Saturday in Beiing. Gay was eliminated and failed to qualify for the finals in the mens 100 meters. The current World’s Fastest Man is the American record holder in the 100 meter dash and the reigning world champion in the event.
Gay injured his hamstring at the U.S. Olympic trials six weeks ago. He had not run competitively before the Olympics, raising doubts about his fitness to compete.
Following the loss, Gay refused to use his injury as an excuse saying he felt fine.
