MICHAEL PHELPS
Michael Phelps made even more Olympic history Saturday night in Beijing. The American swimmer won his record eighth gold medal with a U.S. victory in the 400-meter medley relay.
The eight gold medals in one Olympics is a new record surpassing the seven golds won by American swimmer Mark Spitz in Munich during 1972.

Michael Phelps is, without a doubt, the face of his sport just like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Muhammad Ali, Brett Favre, Roger Federer and Babe Ruth. However, for all that he accomplished in this years Olympic games, I still don’t think he ranks in the top 5 of all-time Olympians.
