COLLEGE FOOTBALL ASSISTANT COACH NEEDS TO BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY

BARRIS GRANT

This from the “Cuff ‘Em” segment at Busted Coverage:

According to police, New Mexico State assistant football coach Barris Grant obstructed justice and taunted a domestic violence victim last week.

The Las Cruces Sun-News says Grant refused to tell police the identity of one of his football players who beat a woman in the school’s parking lot. Grant reportedly told police, “I’m not going to give you s**t.” He then taunted the female victim who was being treated for injuries by paramedics.

I read this Dec 2, 2008 and an nowhere find an apology by you to coach Grant. The Dona Ana County and NMSU police both apologized for the incident and their mistaken part in it. Coach Grant was simply attempting, while a dozen on-lookers observes, to break up a scuffle between a young woman and her boy friend. She was dispatched out of the State within 24 hours and the young man was never charged. Funny that you make headlines with an irresponsible blog and fail to correct it when you are wrong and proven to be.
