“LAURA” RETURNS TO GENERAL HOSPITAL

Actress Genie Francis is returning to the soap opera General Hospital. Francis, now 46, was a pop culture sensation in the late 70’s and early 80’s when she teamed with actor Anthony Geary. “Luke and Laura” became an “international phenomenon.”  

On November 26, 1981 over 30 million viewers tuned in to ABC to watch the “Luke and Laura” wedding. The pair appeared on the cover of magazines like Newsweek and People. Francis also appeared in the soaps Days of our Lives and All My Children. She won a Daytime Emmy in 2006.
