BIG BROWN TOOK THE STEROID WINSTROL
Several newspapers are out with stories blasting failed Triple Crown racehorse Big Brown.
The Toronto Star called Big Brown the “biggest flop of all.” According to the paper, “No horse with the Kentucky Derby and Preakness in the bag ever crapped out as badly.” The Star accuses Big Brown of being a steroid burnout.
Meanwhile the New York Times also questioned whether Big Brown’s past success was simply the result of steroids:
Worst of all for Big Brown’s connections, perhaps, were the questions about steroids. (Trainer Rick) Dutrow told The New York Times last week that Big Brown had not had his usual shot of the anabolic steroid Winstrol since April 15, enough time for the drug to leave his system.
Was Big Brown’s poor performance because of his lack of “juice?”
