Yesterday a great white shark killed a surfer in the San Diego area. Houston Astros catcher Brad Ausmus was particularly jarred by the news.
Ausmus is an avid surfer and lives in the San Diego area. In fact, he has surfed the EXACT BEACH (Tide Beach) where the man was killed,
“That particular spot, I’ve been there half a dozen, 10 times,” Ausmus said.
Despite the tragedy, Ausmus said he wouldn’t be afraid to surf in that area in the future.
“Probably not. If lightning strikes, would you stop going out in the rain?”
